Council Activities
Students participating in Student Council learn about representation, voting, planning and carrying out projects, and working on behalf of the school and its members; all of which are integral parts of a Student Council.
Some of the many activities and lessons learned are:
- Conducting Student Council meetings
- Understanding office and representative positions
- Putting ideas into action
- Understanding committees
- Preparing for individual class meetings
- Working with the principal and staff
- Working with parents and other community members
- Learning parliamentary procedure
- Carrying out service projects
- Planning and conducting all-school activities
